CounterPulse is building a movement of risk-taking art that shatters assumptions and builds community. We provide space and resources for emerging artists and cultural innovators, serving as an incubator for the creation of socially relevant, community-based art and culture. CounterPulse is one of San Francisco’s leading small venues for cutting-edge, interdisciplinary performance. Our studio theater hosts over 300 public events each year, ranging from dance, theater and music performances to political discussions and film screenings.

The Development Manager (DM) leverages the story of CounterPulse to the funding and philanthropic communities. The DM advances the development and fundraising goals through grant writing, individual donor management, and fundraising events, most notably our annual gala in May. By ensuring that CounterPulse succeeds, the Development Manager helps make the world a more hospitable place for arts and culture.
