The day after CounterPulse’s Gala, the manifestation of Jeremy Edwards’ time in the CounterPulse TenderArts Urban Furniture Residency will take over 111 Minna Gallery‘s iconic Friday Happy Hour.

The work will be installed in the gallery for all to engage with and activate, 111 Minna Gallery’s stress-busting drink specials will be flowing, and there will be live performance activations by local dancer-choreographers Gerald Casel and Erika Tsimbrovsky.

Come learn about this new residency happening at CounterPulse, meet Jeremy, and consider engaging in Jeremy’s conceptual framework by purchasing and creatively re-activating one of these pieces in your own neighborhood, home, office, or any social or public space that you can imagine!

About Jeremy Edwards

Jeremy Edwards was born in Liverpool, England and studied 3 Dimensional Design at Brighton University, Sussex. He now lives in Paris where he maintains his studio practice working as an artist/designer. He is also a committed educator, and teaches at the ENSA-Limoges, National School of Fine Arts (which covers the disciplines of art, sculpture, video, ceramics, jewellery, product design) and at the Ecole Camondo, Paris (which specialises in product design and interior architecture).

Through his work, he tries to challenge assumptions, conceptions and meanings regarding the role objects play in everyday life. His influences come from the ordinary, basic but essential solutions people find when using simple means and everyday materials/objects that surround them, in order to make life easier. He believes that these solutions can broaden our view on what the creative process is and that this creative process, according to people’s own personal point of view, can be organised differently.
