CounterPulse is building a movement of risk-taking art that shatters assumptions and builds community. Producing Director

About you and this position:

You’re enthusiastic about the arts and have a vision for the change you want to see in the world. As a hybrid visionary and detail-oriented taskmaster you can’t help but dream big and then build timelines and checklists. With ease you balance overlapping project threads and upkeep multiplicitous relationships. You’re a strong writer with a persuasive and succinct style, a salesperson of sorts and a warm host to boot.

As the CounterPulse Producing Director (PD) you leverage the resources of CounterPulse to best serve our artist communities and advance the technical execution of our programs, and engage the community with our growing work. By ensuring that CounterPulse’s programs are both well resourced and effectively implemented you help make the world a more hospitable place for arts and culture—and that matters a lot to you!

Full time exempt position; $65,000 – $70,000 salary depending on hours and experience

Operations Manager

About you and this position:

You are someone who is passionate about bringing order to information and the physical environment. If both would fit, you’d harbor a label maker and an allen wrench tucked into your back pocket. You are self-motivated to identify and address a diverse array of both operational and facility-related challenges, including those posed by basic IT systems and devices (desktops, internet, printer). As a detail-oriented, taskmaster you can’t help but build timelines and checklists. With ease you balance multiple project threads and timelines. You are confident navigating and organizing your work with web apps like Google Drive and your calendar is always water tight. You appreciate the variety of working in a fast-pace, small arthouse. Perhaps most importantly, you enjoy serving in a variety of capacities to support and contribute meaningfully to the evolving character of a lively, growing arts organization.

The Operations Manager oversees the day-to-day financial administration and coordination of our programs, human resources, general operations, and facilities. The Operations Manager works directly in support of and in partnership with the Artistic & Executive Director to manage and advance the goals of and impacts of the organization. This position reports to the Artistic & Executive Director.

Part-time to Full-time; 25-40 hours per week depending on candidate availability/interest.

House Manager

About you and this position:

The House Manager is the face of CounterPulse representing the values of the organization to our public. The position is responsible for all Front of House operations during performances and events at CounterPulse, including hospitality, patron services, box-office services, and volunteer management. The House Manager expected to execute CounterPulse show policies and act as a liaison between artists and CounterPulse. 

You’re enthusiastic about the arts and enjoy interacting with a diverse public. Juggling hospitality, patron services, box-office services, virtual event hosting, and volunteer management while maintaining your cool comes naturally to you. You enjoy a fast paced environment, bringing order and ease to a bustling social atmosphere. You’re confident in front of a crowd, and delivering speeches is at least equally exciting as it is scary. 

Part-time position; shifts scheduled on an event-by-event basis
