SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Tickets are now available for CounterPulse’s annual art party and auction Innerspace : Homecoming on Saturday May 7th, 2022. This one-night-a-year spectacular of art and performance will happen throughout CounterPulse’s building at 80 Turk Street in the Tenderloin.
Don’t miss a diverse program of artists spanning many disciplines including the world premiere of Freeicecream.network by ARC Combustible Resident Artists h0tclub; the unveiling of a new light sculpture on CounterPulse’s façade by the award-winning art and design studio FUTUREFORMS; cello performance by Peekaboo; a sneak peak of this June’s ARC Edge Residency by Afro Urban Society; Megan Lowe and Brenton Cheng performing an excerpt of Tangram; a TenderArts drumming circle & a special gallery exhibition of works by Donna Personna & Humberto Maldonado; DJ sets by La Frida & Fiera Ferari; a silent auction with prizes ranging from gift certificates to Fluid Coffee to tickets for two to Burning Man; and the results of our competition for CounterPulse’s Homecoming Queen featuring Fauxnique, Pseuda, Jota Mercury, and Nicki Jizz.
This fundraising event will support CounterPulse’s current capital campaign to purchase their building in downtown San Francisco later this year. CounterPulse has made significant progress in the final phase of realizing ownership of its building and is just $1.2 million away from reaching their $7 million final goal. The acquisition of CounterPulse’s building is part of a pilot program with the Community Arts Stabilization Trust and will be the first to prove this new national model of sustainability for the arts.
